Wetlands and Waterways
I originally intended to form these galleries around species, but then realised that arranging them by location was a convenient way of achieving this aim. Coots are the only species to be found in more than one of these sub-galleries, and there is no real duplication as the attention in one of them is on their chicks and in the other on their mildly comic behaviour on a frozen lake. Two of these galleries cater for locations in the North West of England, and apart from a pair of mating frogs, are devoted entirely to birds. The other shows a variety of images from the South of England: landscapes, birds, dragonflies and damselflies, and a water vole.
