Images from a small area of Finland's vast boreal forest, taken near Kuhmo in the centre of the country in September 2025.
The abundance of fungi here was quite amazing. I have interspersed a few images of the trees between those of the fungi and other features of the forest floor. As I am unable to identify the most of the fungi I haven't added any captions, seeing these really as unnecessary. It may be worth adding, though, that the final image was taken with intentional camera movement to give a more impressionistic view of the forest.
