The Sava valley, only 2-4 km from the Austrian border, forms the northern boundary of the Julian Alps. In this image, the afternoon sunlight from the south west is illuminating some of the slopes while others remain in shadow. It was taken from Ingo's Place, which lies up a small valley to the south of Gozd Martuljek, a village on the Sava a short distance to the east of the resort of Kranjska Gora.
