Iceland's landscapes include glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, lava fields and other sites of geothermal activity. All these are represented in the images in this gallery. The majority were taken in August 2023. The locations shown in these comprise Eyjafjallajökull, Thórsmörk and Godaland, the Mýrdalsjökull Ice Cap and Rauðibotn Crater, Landmannalauger, Granni Waterfall and Gjáin Valley. The earlier images, taken in the period 2012-2015, include the Svinafellsjökull glacier lagoon (as it was in 2014), the waterfalls of Gulfoss, Goðafoss and Aldeyjarfoss, lava stacks in Lake Mývatn and lava cliffs on the Snæfellsnes peninsula.
